V. Rao Dumpeti is an experienced technologist, entrepreneur, and leader with over 20 years of hands-on technical leadership and engineering management experience across multiple domains. With a strategic, customer-centric, and results-oriented approach, Rao specializes in agile and lean product management and software development of innovative, large-scale mobile and web consumer applications as well as enterprise platform solutions. As a passionate, committed, and collaborative servant leader, Rao has excellent people skills and a proven ability to lead and influence product, engineering, design, insights as well as marketing, sales, customer success, finance, human resources, and other business functions. His background includes a mix of technology leadership and entrepreneurship experiences from Justworks, CLEAR, WeWork, Spotify, MediaMath, MakeMe, The New York Times, Yahoo!, ProQuest, Hughes, and more. At Justworks, Rao currently serves as the Sr. Director, Head of Engineering & Technical Product Management, Growth & Core Platform. He leads product and technology strategy for multiple product experiences and platform services programs across Growth, HRIS, Payments, Mobile, Web, API, Data, Partners, etc. He is actively hiring Principal/Staff/Senior Mobile, Web, Data, Security, Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Agile Program Managers, UX/UI Designers, and more. Previously, Rao launched new verticals and phygital experiences at CLEAR and scaled to 10+ fullstack agile teams across NYC and Austin offices to deliver key growth and strategic partnership initiatives. He has also launched new product areas within WeWork’s Real Estate & Development Technology mission and scaled to 5+ teams across NYC and Seattle offices to deliver key IPO-readiness initiatives, leading to estimated savings of $250M+ in CAPEX spend. Rao has also co-founded a startup called MakeMe and led a fully distributed product and engineering team to launch a mobile platform, which found product-market fit in the Health & Wellness space. He earned a BS in Computer Science from University of Maryland (with concentrations in Astronomy & Pre-Medicine) and ACE from MIT Sloan School of Management (with executive certifications in Management, Innovation & Technology). Rao's tech stack includes product management, senior software engineering, mobile, web, research science, UI, software engineering, frontend, and backend.
